We started in San Diego. Our pedicab driver
Nick impressed us
so much we decided to take him with us on our vacation. |
 |
| |
| Nick took this picture of us by the Eiffel
Tower in France. |
 |
| |
In Italy, we couldn't help but wonder why
nobody had ever straightened that tower out!
Poor construction. |
 |
| |
The Colosseum at night was spectacular.
I broke off a couple of pieces for souvenirs. |
 |
| |
The rest of the family joined us for some
time in the Alps.
One of the locals kept trying to edge into every picture. |
 |
| |
Next, it was up to Moscow. We were lucky
enough to catch fireworks at the Kremlin! |
 |
| |
It was a long flight to Agra, India to visit
the fabled Taj Mahal
but well worth it. Nick just loved it! |
 |
| |
More problems with the locals crowding into
our
vacation pictures in Dharamsala, India. As you can see,
we weren't too happy. |
 |
| |
| Then on to Egypt. We gave Nick a chance to
rest his legs and visited the Pyramids. |
 |
| |
| Then, we toured China, here we are at the
Great Wall. |
 |
| |
| We went on to Tibet, unfortunately, I got
caught up in a protest. |
 |
| |
| But we still got a chance to visit Lhasa
and the Potala Palace |
 |
| |
One last stop in the east, Japan. They have
this big Buddha thing in
Kamakura not far from Tokyo. I managed to break off another
souvenir! |
 |
| |
Then we headed back to our hemisphere. Visiting
Brazil, we were
pretty sure the travel agent had steered us wrong when we
saw
the accommodations, but when Michael and some of his
young friends showed up we saw just how hip it was! |
 |
| |
Finally back in the States, we stopped by
romantic Niagara Falls.
Oops, a little too close to the edge! That was the last
we saw of Nick. He must have found his own way back to San
Diego. |
